Ms. Senior Oklahoma 2012
We are proud to announce the winners of the 6th Annual Ms. Senior Oklahoma Pageant, which took place August 27, 2011:
Ms. Long Term Care-Esther Delores Owen, Manor Care
75 year-old Esther is originally from Shawnee, Oklahoma. She loves to play bingo and dominoes as well as take on the Wii at Manor Care. She enjoys good "coffee and gossip" with the other ladies at Manor Care.
Ms. Assisted Living-Madeleine Daily, Cypress Springs
87 year-old Madeleine is originally from Ponca City. She was an avid golfer who loved to play bridge and now enjoys gin rummy with friends and family. Her proudest memory was the birth of her children.
Ms. Independent Living-Nancy Apple, Vandever House
Nancy will celebrate her 71st birthday in November. Nancy is an avid camper who also likes scrapbooking. Her proudest moment was the birth of her daughter after having two boys.
Ms. Adult Day Services-Tillie Christensen, LIFE Senior Services-Broken Arrow
A native of England, Tillie met her husband during World War II when she was working in a bomb factory and he was an American Soldier stationed in London. The two were married later that year. She enjoys ballroom dancing and square dancing. Her fondest memory is her first child Barbara being born in the midst of an air raid in London. In October, Tillie will celebrate her 93rd birthday.
